There is not much HTML5 in this video tutorial, as the contact form is built with code available in previous versions of HTML, but you can use this first video tutorial as a way to reinforce many of the things we learned together in the previous tutorials. What you will learn: By the end of this HTML contact form tutorial, you will have something similar to the screenshot above.

Feel free to view the demo just after the video tutorial to get a feel of what you will be making in under 25 minutes. I will give you a hint, but it will be somewhat irrelevant to a contact form, but surely you are smart enough to work your way through it, yes? Of course, it is crucial that you validate the fields so that you will not receive any unnecessary information, or secure that all the information you need from your contact form are all useful.

In this tutorial we will be using j Query and a j Query form validation plugin to make it work.

We could have used just j Query for validation but that would require us to write a lot of code depending upon how bigger the form that needs validated is.

For that we need to log in to the wordpress admin panel and navigate to "Appearance" tag if you can see any j Query library already included.

Sanitizes a html classname to ensure it only contains valid characters.

So here is how we validate custom forms with j Query in wordpress.

The very first step is to make sure your wordpress theme not already includes a j Query library.

Wordpress is always very flexible when it comes to its custom development part.

Whilst there are thousands of plugins available to utilize within the wordpress including free as well as premium ones but certainly a time comes when there is need of an hour to custom develop a wordpress site. This tutorial will help you create a form that is validated by j Query at client's side but surely it is like a mark on a stone to validate the form at server side as well when the form has been submitted because the clients side information is never to be trusted therefore it is always the best practice to self secure as much as possible.

Therefore the first video will focus on how to create, but mainly how to style, your contact form using CSS3.

Many Word Press plugins come with fully functional contact forms that can be installed and used right away, but we believe in beautiful design and in your right to style it however you choose.

The intval() function casts user input as an integer, and defaults to zero if the input was a non-numeric value.

We then check to see if the value ended up as zero.

The method of data sanitization depends on the type of data and the context in which it is used.

Below are some common tasks in Word Press and how they should be sanitized.
