For this to work correctly, your hard disks have to be completely blank, so remember to delete any existing volumes if you're re-using old drives.Once the disks are formatted (the default option is Netgear's expandable X-RAID2 array structure, but you can also configure the drives as RAID 0 or RAID 1), you can access the NAS's administration page using a web browser and map it to a drive letter using Windows Explorer.Netgear's Ready NAS is a plain-looking but extremely well-built metal box.It isn’t immediately apparent that the grille at the front swings open, but once it's pulled away you'll find a pair of hot-swap style drive caddies. So nach meiner Recherche würde ich es jetzt so machen: 1. @Lucio: SSOT sollte zuerst deinstalliert werden, dann kann der QPKG-Server installiert werden. Keep in mind the SSOTS, SBS and LMS QPKG are in essence almost the same and can never exist side-by-side on the same QNAP NAS, so if you two or more QPKG icons on the same system, something has gone terribly wrong and you'll probably need to uninstall both packages to get your music playing again.(no the two really don't mix, period)vielen dank für eure Hilfe, natürlich kann ich lesen, möchte aber nicht mein ganzes System zerschießen, außerdem never change a laufendes System, daher meine Sorgen: Also nochmal für mich:ich entferne squeezecenter mit all seinen komponenten, deinstalliere dann ssots und installiere dann lms 7.7.2vielen dank für eure Hilfe, natürlich kann ich lesen, möchte aber nicht mein ganzes System zerschießen, außerdem never change a laufendes System, daher meine Sorgen: Also nochmal für mich:ich entferne squeezecenter mit all seinen komponenten, deinstalliere dann ssots und installiere dann lms 7.7.2Ich möchte diesen alten Thread wieder noch oben holen, da ich eine ähnliche Frage habe.

If someone have an idea I also have the 1010 and indeed the GLIBC library is too old... I mean it can stream webradio so why wouldn't it be fast enough to stream spotify..someone could just compile something for non-intel based NAS....

Maybe this will be solved by the new firmware (DSM 3.0)? Otherwise I will need to cancel my Spotify updates on this issue? Since it is not Synology who is responsible or able to solve this problem we could show our wish to Spotify via Get Satisfaction: ... ify_on_arm Who knows our prayers will be heard around this time of the year Read all about the Spotify plugin by Triode here: Synology DS209 II - DSM 4.1 - WD Red 3TB (RAID1) *** Linksys WRT320N 1Gb *** Logitech Media Server 7.7.2Squeezeboxes "Touch / Radio / Controller / Android App" *** WD TV Live Media Player *** UPC Horizon mediabox Some good news for the coming new year: Triode says he's looking at support for older GLIBC versions (like ours) for the Spotify plugin.

Pop a button at the bottom of each and they'll release, ready to be pulled out.

Installing 3.5in hard disks in the trays is incredibly simple, with each disk connecting to its tray with four screws.

The latter lets you connect and, at the press of a button, back up data stored on your NAS to an external USB disk.

With the hard disks installed, we used Netgear's RAIDar utility to locate The Ready NAS Duo v2 on our network so that we could configure it and format the disks.

Unfortunately, I discovered that this doesn't run on my Disk Station, since it doesn't have an Intel processor.

The plugin gets installed just fine, but the App Helper requires for the time being an Intel processor.

Mine is running the Marvell Orion mv5281 ARM Processor.

Do you know if this will be supported any time in the near future?
